Mechanical

The Mechanical subteam designs, makes CAD models, and assembles the robot. This subteam is comprised of more members than any other subteam. The Mechanical team has the CAD and build team subdivisions. CAD is responsible for designing to-scale 3D models of the robot. The build team is responsible for building the chassis and all other components of the robot that are needed.

Electrical

The Electrical subteam focuses on the wiring and powering of the robot. The team focuses on efficiently and safely providing signal to motors and other components that are necessary for the functionalities of the robot. The Electrical team acts as the pivotal point between mechanical and programming.

Programming

The Programming subteam focuses on all the code for the robot. With Java as their main tool, the Programming team is a group of passionate students who love computer science and robotics. The subteam is further divided into groups focusing on coding the command-based code, vision processing, and path planning.

Business

The Business subteam manages the annual budget, discusses sponsorships with companies, creates merchandise, and manages the team’s social media accounts which reach over 1000 followers. Split into specialized teams that handle PR, design, and purchases, the Business team makes sure the team stays afloat and thrives off and on-season.

Safety

The Safety subteam primarily focuses on the well-being of the entire robotics team, creating a culture of safety, managing personal protective equipment, and staying vigilant for any potential emergencies through their extensive first-aid training.
